Terry Hall from The Specials changed styles a bit and fronted the wonderful Colourfield in the mid-1980s. They only released 2 albums but they are both quite good, with the first, 1985's Virgins & Philistines being the essential one.Second album Deception did contain a cool cover of Sly and the Family Stone's "Running Away" which is also worth seeking out.
The good folks at Cherry Red Records have reissued the albums with a load of bonus tracks.
In fact, Virgins & Philistines has never been available on CD in the UK.
