Time Out magazine in London published their list of the "100 Best British Films" and I'm both pleased and disappointed.
VERY pleased to see what is lodged at number 3, and what is at the top of the list too; I sort of knew those titles would make the cut but never dreamed they would be so high in the list.
Still, the list has got a few glaring omissions and the first 3 most obvious ones seem to me to be: Mike Leigh's High Hopes (1988) and Life is Sweet (1991) and Bill Forsyth's Comfort and Joy (1984).
I'm sure as soon as I post this list, I'll think of another 3 but, for now, check out the full list right here.
(For the record, I've seen about 52 films on this list, though I counted one or two titles that I have not seen since I was a kid.)
