The soundtrack of my summer was Razika's Program 91. I hope that my enthusiasm was apparent in my review of the record back in August. I got my review copy in June but wasn't supposed to write about it until closer to the release date.
That ended up being a good thing as I played the record at least 3 or 4 times a week last summer.
"Vondt I Hjertet" was one of my favorite tracks on the album -- there may be a free MP3 link up somewhere on this site but you really should buy the album -- and it's the song that I think puts the band in the company of The Primitives and The Cardigans. It really is that good.
I don't understand a word they are singing -- it's in Norwegian -- but the song has a gentleness and force that moves me a bit each time I hear it.
In the perfect world, this would be a Top 10 hit.
And the band has finally released a very cinematic video for the track -- I think it's their first video too!
