Manchester's Temple Songs are really just fantastic. Everything I've heard from them so far has thrilled me as a listener.
They need to get even more press than they're getting now.
Their blend of the past and some glorious now is really unlike what anyone else is doing at the moment. And that mad genius production makes it sound like somehow Syd Barrett made a secret stash of indie rock tunes 45 years ago and we are just now spinning the previously buried master tapes.
"I Can't Look After You" rattles along like the Rolling Stones circa 1965 but that guitar solo shatters the mood in a splendid way -- like Hendrix drowning out Brian Jones.
