The Yetis are from Allentown, Pennsylvania, which is only a few hours from where I'm sitting now...and it's also a town that's the subject of one of my favorite Billy Joel songs.
(Hey, I will defend The Nylon Curtain to the death!)
The Yetis make music that sounds a bit like the classic British bands of the C86 generation. I blogged about them last year and I'm here today to share with you one of their best tunes which now has a delightful video.
"Little Surfer Girl" is like a mishmash of Pavement, Jonathan Richman, and (early) Arctic Monkeys. It's wildly catchy and I'm sure you're gonna be hooked on this band after playing this one a few times.
The good news is that the band are about to go into to the studio to finish up a new 3-song EP called Lonely Tandem Ride. I can't wait to hear that one.
After you play this video, follow The Yetis on their official Facebook page.
