Yet Another Great Band On Beech Coma: Get On The Lazy Day Bandwagon Now Folks!

I'm so glad I dug into the output on Beech Coma this week 'cause I've already discovered a few bands I like a lot. This track was on the Vol. 2 comp. from the label. London's Lazy Day -- hopefully named after that awesome Boo Radleys song on Everything's Alright Forever (1992) -- have produced a few really stunning songs recently. "Oldest Friend" charms like Dog Bite doing Cocteau Twins stuff. It's a gem. And for every reviewer who's gonna invoke Slowdive as they attempt to describe the sound of this band I'm going to be the one to more accurately go with (perhaps forgotten) 4AD band Swallow. Only there seems to be more attitude here, which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned.

Lazy Day are poised to produce something great in 2015. I expect that by the end of this year that this group will be getting loads more press than they already are.

Follow Lazy Day on their official website or on their official Facebook page.

Now go spin "Oldest Friend" and let me ask you:

Isn't that the best thing you've heard in ages!?!
