Constant Follower have been teasing out good music for a year now. Thankfully, the Scottish band are busy at work on their new record with producer Kramer. And until that Shimmy-Disc album drops, we'll have to content ourselves with new tunes like today's offering.
"The Merry Dancers on TV" is gently affecting. A haunting ramble pitched at the place occupied by both Arab Strap and Bon Iver, this elegantly mellow song is something special indeed. It also helps that the video for the composition is just as memorable. This film from Fiona Burton combines stop-motion animation up against the vocals of Stephen McAll and his band-mates to wonderful effect.
The new album from Constant Follower, Neither Is, Nor Ever Was will be out on Shimmy-Disc in October.
