"Top of the Fops", from the upcoming, just announced second Mick Trouble LP, is bright and smart. It's a throwback charmer, equal parts Nick Lowe, Freddie & The Dreamers, and Rich Kids, with a dash of Rezillos. Of course, it's loads more than just a bit of retro mimicry as it's a genuinely good cut of the kind of indie that labels like Emotional Response continue to champion.
