TRACK FEATURE: "There Is No News" By European Sun (Featuring Members Of Heavenly, Swansea Sound, Thrashing Doves)

Featuring one member of Thrashing Doves, two members of Heavenly, and three of Swansea Sound (when those other three are added up), the new single from European Sun is worthy of your attention this week. Also of note is that the new one from the Steve Miles-fronted project is a bit of cleverness based on fact.

"There is No News" by European Sun is about April 18, 1930, when the BBC did indeed report that there was no news. The tune is reminiscent to me of something from Alternative TV, or maybe The Fall, with Miles quickly getting this one into gear. The track is smart and catchy too, and then it's over, like something by Guided By Voices. It's a taster of what will be on the second European Sun album, and you should really check out the first one from 2020.

"There is No News" by European Sun is out now. More details on the Skep Wax label website.
