While the song is great on its own, as I recently posted, the video for the new "Music Lover" single from Swansea Sound is the first music video in 2022 to make me laugh out loud. Pointed and precise, the video skewers our corporate overlords, or at least those who'd attempt to regulate our music consumption, rip off artists and musicians, and stifle the free-flow of ideas. That sort of thing.
"Music Lover" is the lead track on a new Christmas-themed EP from Swansea Sound, and it's available in a card format with CD signed by the band, or a blank card which you can fill out for your own loved one, or music lover in your life. The single's backed by some great tunes, but it's really a smart bit of business. And why wouldn't it be given the folks behind this? Namely Amelia Fletcher and Rob Pursey (Heavenly, The Catenary Wires), Hue Williams (The Pooh Sticks), and Ian Button (Papernut Cambridge, Pete Astor).
You can order "Music Lover" via the Bandcamp link below. It's even on S*****y, but I'm not going to recommend that place to anyone reading this site!
