Last Saturday, June 22, a fantastic triple bill hit D.C.'s Lincoln Theatre. The Church with openers Afghan Whigs and Ed Harcourt. I almost braved the heat, especially since Ed Harcourt rarely plays America, but that and other commitments kept me away. Site contributor and all-around good guy Tom Berard went, had a blast, and took a bunch of photos.
The last Afghan Whigs album was in 2022, and Ed Harcourt has a new record out, but The Church were touring in support of this year's Eros Zeta and the Perfumed Guitars, itselt a sequel to 2023's The Hypnogogue. It looks like Steve Kilbey was in fine form, judging by these pics.
