This is a cool one. This week's Track of the Week is an abrasive slice of noise and melody from Accessory. The band is really Jason Balla of Dehd. The tune sounds nothing like them but it's cool regardless.
"Chain Link" rides in on top of a churning hook. The tune is not exactly pleasing on the ear, but the noise sort of wraps itself around a melody of sorts, and things work in this approach. For those of you who are here because Jason is in Dehd, you will find almost nothing in this piece of music which echoes his other band. That's okay. Like Dehd, Accessory are making tunes that defy conventional structure and genre, and yet which still are memorable and sharp.
