This is really a heartwarming video. For those of us who've been fans of this band for decades, the news that a remastered edition of Modern Rock, the second Clean album, was on the way was great to read. And this video of classic track "Safe in the Rain" is a nice teaser for the reissue.
Shot behind the scenes when the band was recording this record in early 1994, the clip features glimpses of David Kilgour, the late Hamish Kilgour, Robert Scott (The Bats), and assorted folk involved with the making of the second full-length from The Clean. There's such variety and heart in the whole album that I urge you who are new to these Flying Nun pioneers to get this reissue as soon as you can. You can play "Safe in the Rain" by The Clean below.
